Essential Oils & Isolates
Kancor’s Essential Oils exhibits the characteristic aroma of the raw materials used. Natural Essential Oils are aromatic, volatile liquids that are steam/hydro distilled from plant parts like seeds, flowers, fruits, stems, bark, roots, leaves and more. They are highly concentrated, requiring large volumes of plant material to produce just a small drop of oil.
Kancor’s Essential Oils are mostly farm distilled. The company uses both traditional and state-of-the-art technology to separate and purify the product before it is used in a variety of applications. Our customers put these in products that heal and support the body’s emotional and physical well-being. They are often used in perfumes, cosmetics, soaps and also as flavouring substances in food and beverages
What is the difference between steam and water distillation for natural Essential oil extraction?
The advantage of steam distillation is that the plant material can be recovered after oil extraction for solvent extraction for the isolation of other non-volatile compounds whereas in hydro distillation the plant material is continuously boiled and not possible to fully recover. For large scale distillation, handling of water is also not convenient. Recovery of oil is higher in hydro distillation compared to steam distillation.
